About Me

Dr. Scott Krakower is a child and adolescent psychiatrist and general adult psychiatrist.  He is internationally recognized for his work with youth and adults who may have ADHD, trauma, anxiety, depression, sports and head injuries, coronavirus recovery, gender dysphoria, and addiction.  He has provided expert opinion for hundreds of studies worldwide. He is currently an Associate Professor with the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and served as Unit Chief of Psychiatry at Northwell Health / Zucker Hillside Hospital.

Dr. Krakower is a Summa Cum Laude graduate and Viral Crystallography major from the University of Florida Honors Program and attended medical school at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is President of the Greater Long Island Psychiatric Society for the American Psychiatric Association and a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Dr. Krakower has been the recipient of numerous awards and has been ranked as Top Doctor nationally.  He is a speaker and writer for news networks including CBS, CNN, ABC, Fox, Forbes, The New York Times, Newsday, USAToday, WebMD, and The Today Show and lectures internationally to organizations.
